ClearCorrect

ClearCorrect technology is similar to that used by Invisalign® and provides similar advantages, including:

  • the fact that the device is in transparent plastic makes it more comfortable and nearly invisible,
  • shorter, less frequent visits to the orthodontist,
  • patients can eat whatever they like, since the device can be removed during meals and teeth brushing.

This product is made from polyurethane plastic resin, making it resistant to shocks, fissures and stains, in addition to being hypoallergenic and it contains no BPAs.

FAQ:

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IN THE FIRST FEW DAYS WHEN WEARING A CLEARCORRECT DEVICE?

A brief period of discomfort may occur at the beginning of treatment. This means days rather than weeks. The more you wear the device, the more comfortable it becomes. If discomfort persists, do not hesitate to consult your orthodontist for an adjustment.

You may also find that you are lisping for a short period, as you get used to speaking with the device in place. These minor issues should not make you refrain from seeking orthodontic treatment, as they do not last long at all.

ARE THE ALIGNERS DIFFICULT TO CARE FOR? HOW SHOULD THEY BE CLEANED?

The devices may be cleaned using a toothbrush and cold water. Non-abrasive toothpaste is also recommended.

HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT LIKELY TO LAST?

This depends entirely on your personal profile, including your physiology, buccal health and lifestyle. Standard orthodontic treatment typically lasts about 18 months.

HOW MANY HOURS PER DAY SHOULD I WEAR THE DEVICES?

It is recommended that the devices be worn for 22 hours per day. They can be removed at mealtimes and when teeth brushing or using dental floss. If this number of hours is not respected, the correction process may be slowed down and even reversed. Wearing the devices for 22 hours per day is key to obtaining effective treatment.
